High School Group

(1) Spiritual Class
(2) Activity Class
(3) Community Service
(4) Newsletter Release

The high school group consists of high school students from ninth to twelfth grades. Membership has grown from 80 to 120 youngsters. Half of the group's activities concentrate on community services while the other half take place in the classroom. Besides participating in Tzu Chi's breakfast sharing and nursing home visits, students also actively work at a food bank and engage in other activities at Agnews Developmental Center. Monthly classroom activities include introduction to Tzu Chi services and Still Thoughts education.

With their emphasis on community services, these activities provide a good way to lead the youth to the world of Tzu Chi. A one-day retreat, usually held during the summer vacation, helps to further develop the group's work. In the future, they hope to increase nursing home visits and attract more college students to volunteer, in order to energize the high school group.
