Joint Cultivation Buddhist study groups take place every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, with the main objective being to study the Lotus Sutra. More than ten students participate each week. Through the study of the sutras, students are able to preserve their minds and bodies, contemplate and regret their past mistakes, and to make commitments for the future. Chinese calligraphy classes take place each Sunday evening under the direction of Brother Chen Jui. In addition to studying calligraphy, copying sutras, and exchanging thoughts and views, students are able to serenely experience the meaning of the Buddhist scriptures and learn to truly understand Buddhist philosophy. In addition, seminars on Chinese calligraphy and seal carving are periodically held. In the meantime, the class also helps make signs for all branch office activities.
